Okay, time to get serious. (Clears throat)
Online Safety
- Please don’t give out personal details in your profile or initial messages
such as phone number, email address, home address or workplace.
- Don’t be daft and promise anything that in reality you’d be uncomfortable
with if you were meeting
face-to-face.
- Don’t fake your photograph and don’t blatantly lie in your profile or
messages.
- Be careful if you think a member is lying to you or pushing you for personal details
but not revealing any themselves. Watch out if they won’t answer normal questions
and give inconsistent information about their age, appearance, marital status, or
employment, or make extraordinary or contradictory claims.
- If you feel uncomfortable about a member, stop contacting them. You can block them
so you won’t receive unwanted messages.
Face To Face Safety
- Meet in a public place that you know well.
- Never arrange for your date to pick you up from your home and don’t accept
a lift home if you feel
uncomfortable about it.
- Never allow your date to make arrangements for your travel or hotel accommodation.
- Let a friend know where you are going and what time you’ll be expected back.
Don’t forget your mobile, make sure it’s fully charged and has enough
credit to make calls so you can call your pal to let them know things are ok. Leave
your friend details of the person you’re meeting.
- If you don’t want to meet someone alone you can always choose our Group Option
or why not double date with some of your friends.
If you are suspicious about anyone on this site then please report them to us
